I'm just looking.....

.......and in doing so you're taking your first steps to seeing, understanding and changing yourself, if you want to, for you.

If you are looking for a therapist/ counsellor you may be sinking under the weight of a particular issue like anxiety, depression, divorce, bereavement, abuse, lack of confidence, low self esteem and self loathing to mention just a few.

You may have already tried to solve or live with these problems or sought the help of a friend.

It may equally be the case that you don't know what it is that's troubling you, but that you just feel empty and unable to be happy. Whatever you do to resolve these bad feelings, it just seems to be futile, and you end up in that place again, with the same old familiar bad feelings.

So.....what can I expect from counselling?

The therapeutic process that flows between us is unique in that it is not a friendship, as we understand it, and is different for each person.

It is my job to connect with and 'see' you as a whole thinking, feeling, affecting and behaving person, recognising both what you know consciously whilst also mirroring to you what is 'seen' but unconscious to you and so out of your awareness.

I will respectfully and compassionately reflect to you your personality allowing you to see yourself. With these insights come understanding, healing, acceptance and change.

The therapeutic process within the relationship is gradual and consenting meaning that you will never be coerced into risky and painful memories without your consent and always in the knowledge that the therapy takes place in a safe, non-judgemental and confidential environment.

As the process continues the growing trust and respect within the relationship will aid deeper understanding and healing.

Individual 50 mins sessions cost £40. 90 minute couples sessions cost £60.
